Details
Smiths Lake Village is part of the Pacific Palms area on the NSW Mid North Coast, situated on the western shore of Smiths Lake — the largest intermittently open and closed coastal lagoon in NSW. These lakes periodically connect to the sea depending on rainfall and tidal conditions, creating a dynamic and ecologically rich environment that makes the area unlike anywhere else on the coast.
The village is bounded by Myall Lakes National Park to the south and Wallis Lake to the north — two of the region's great natural assets. The Lakes Way, one of the most scenic coastal drives in NSW, runs directly past the village, connecting north to Forster and Tuncurry and south to Bulahdelah and the Pacific Highway.
