A community initiated, council approved Master Plan and design for progressive upgrades to the Recreation Reserve, Paradise Drive, Smiths Lake. Planned facilities include: Pump Track extension to the existing Skate Bowl, Fenced Off-Leash Area for dogs (FOLA), Day night event space and lighting, sculpture garden, surface upgrade, retention fencing and multi sport marking to existing ball courts.
COMPLETED: A community initiated, council approved upgrade to the play equipment at the John Derbert Reserve / Frothy Coffee precinct. FURTHER PLANNED: Renewal of derelict stairs to foreshore, Erosion control of foreshore, Extension of pathways to connect facilities, Removal of weed infestation, Native replanting to foreshore, Connecting foot bridge to walking trails.
