About this survey

MidCoast Council has released two concept designs for Blueys Beach Village. Most features are identical across both options — only three features genuinely differ. This survey focuses on those differences and your support for the shared elements.

Your response is anonymous and will contribute to the PPCA's community submission to MidCoast Council. Completing both this PPCA survey and the Council's own Have Your Say form maximises your impact.

To answer the questions below accurately, we recommend reviewing at least one of the two concept plans. Click a thumbnail to open the full plan drawing in a new tab, or download the complete PDF.

I have reviewed at least one of the design options above

The following ten features appear in both design options. They are not in competition with each other. Circle the number that best represents your agreement that each feature is appropriate for Blueys Beach village.
1 = Strongly disagree  ·  3 = Neutral  ·  5 = Strongly agree
The following three features represent the distinct differences between the design options (1 vs 2). Please rate how important each of the three differences between the options is to you, on its own merits.
1 = Not important at all  ·  3 = Neutral  ·  5 = Critically important
The four tasks below each present how the 'differing' features might be included in two packages. They represent different combinations of features A, B, and C.

For each task, select the package (X or Y) you prefer overall. Neither package is 'correct' — your instinctive overall preference is what matters.

Option 1 features (no change from current) are in regular text.
Option 2 features (representing a change from current) are shown in bold.
D1
Please allocate a total of 100 points across the three genuine differences to show their relative importance to you.
You can assign any whole numbers as long as they total 100. For example: 50 / 30 / 20, or 60 / 20 / 20.

E1
Having worked through the questions above, what is your overall preference?
Overall
Option 1
23 bays · no verge crossing · no wall seat
Overall
Option 2
19 bays · formal verge crossing · wall seat
Overall
Hybrid
Option 1 parking (23 bays) + Option 2 crossing and wall seat
Overall
Neither — needs more work
I do not find either option satisfactory as currently presented
E2
Do you have direct observations about parking demand or pedestrian safety at the current village centre?
For example: peak-time parking pressure, informal crossing behaviour, near-miss incidents, times of highest pedestrian activity. This evidence is valuable for the community submission.
E3
Is there anything neither option addresses that you consider important for the village centre upgrade?
